Mrs. Norma Letrice (Wilson) Hardin, 73, of Union City died 4:17 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Beech Cemetery .

Mrs. Hardin was born March 13, 1937, in Newbern, daughter of the late Harry Blucher and Ocie Myrtle (Warren) Wilson. She received her Bachelor degree from Bethel College in McKenzie and her Masters degree in English from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She retired as an English teacher at Obion County Central High School in 1998 after thirty-three years of service and continued as a substitute teacher at the school until 2009. Norma was a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Tennessee Education Association, Obion County Retired Teachers Association and Friends of the Obion County Library. She was an avid reader and did volunteer work at the library.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lori Hardin of Mason Hall; her sister and brother-in-law, Carrah and Joe Maney of Big Rock, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Ben Powers of South Fulton, and Kendrick Hardin, Katie Hardin and Matthew Hardin all of Mason Hall.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lola Quinton and an infant brother.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Barrett Betts, Larry Parks, Tommy Parr, Ben Powers, Kendrick Hardin, and Joe Maney.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Obion County Public Library, 1221 E. Reelfoot Avenue, Union City, Tennessee 38261 or Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
