Mrs. Nina Elizabeth Allen, 87, of Halls, Tn., formerly of Obion County, died 7:05 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at The Highlands in Dyersburg.

Mrs. Allen was born September 28, 1921, son of the late Charlie and Daisy (Rutherford) Lewis. She is the widow of Bill R. Allen. He died Jan. 15, 1971. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastland Baptist Church in Nashville.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Pamela Allen of Ripley; two sisters, Mattie Carlton Poole of Nashville and Rowena Cummings of Florida; two grandchildren, Edwin Allen of Shelbyville, Tn. and Christina Allen of Ripley, Tn.; two great grandchildren, Hailey Ann Allen and Brittany Michele Allen of Shelbyville, Tn.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen and Bonita Allen; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Allen; two brothers, Charles and Dean Lewis.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
