Nicky Edward "Nick" Brooks, 45, of Garland, Texas died Monday morning, September 1, 2014, as the result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident near Texarkana, Texas. He was a former resident of Union City.
A celebration of life service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Mike Kiper will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials can take the form of donations to Team Friends Walk of Hope Team, P.O. Box 482, Union City, Tennessee 38281.
Nicky was born July 27, 1969, in Union City, son of Libbye (Hicks) Hayes of Union City and the late Danny Brooks. He married Shawna (Jeffrey) Brooks June 29, 2013. She survives.
He is survived by his step father, Robert Hayes of Union City; one son, Garrett Brooks of Louisville, Kentucky; three daughters, Chelsea Brooks, Casey Critendon and Nicole Brooks all of Garland, Texas; five brothers, Ray Brooks of South Fulton, Eric Hayes of Orland Park, Illinois, Steve Cacksaker, Ricky Cacksaker and Tommy Cacksaker; two sisters, Heather Kits of Orland Park, Illinois and Marelena Cacksaker; and his grandfather, Henry Hicks of Rives.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Tony Cacksaker.
