Nick Brinkley, 37, of Union City passed away 5:39 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mikey Brinkley, Jamie Whitehead, Robert Race, Mack Lovell, Michael Whitehead, Tyler Edgin, Billy Farley, James Young and Miguel Bautista.

Donations can be made to Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home towards funeral arrangements.

Nick was born April 3, 1988, in Union City, son of Chris Brinkley and Cheryl (Halliburton) Brinkley. He married Sarah (Brown) Brinkley August 29, 2009. Nick was employed as assistant manager with Elite Auto in Union City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sarah Brinkley of Union City; his daughter, Emberlynn "Emmy" Brinkley of Union City; his mother, Cheryl Brinkley of Union City; his father and step mother, Chris and Bobbie Brinkley of Troy; one brother, Mikey Brinkley (Mary Ann) of Martin; two sisters, Brittany Brinkely and fiance James Young of Union City and Savannah Bautista (Miguel) of Union City; his nieces and nephew, Keeleigh Brinkley, Mya Brinkley, Blaze Brinkley and Aaliyah Young all of Union City; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Tammy Loughary of Union City.

He was also preceded in death his grandparents, Thomas Halliburton, Diana Gilliland, Mike & Dale Brinkley and Freddy Gribble; his aunt, Tina Moore; and his uncle, Tommy Halliburton.
