Mrs. Mildred (Corum) "Molly" Powell, 77, of Union City died 4:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at The Angel House.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother James Kinsey will officiate. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery near Kenton.

Mrs. Powell was born November 28, 1932, in Obion County, son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Annie Mae (Thompson) Corum. She married Odell Powell on February 18, 1967. He died November 14, 2008. She was a retired beautician and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelia May Adcock and Sherry Kay and Edward Edgin; her grandson, Stevie Edgin and her great granddaughter, Maliah Javana Edgin all of Troy; two sisters, Mary Smothers of Ringold, Georgia and Helen Ferrell of Cordova.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Stevie Edgin, Edward Edgin, Keith Edgin, Jason Fraley, James Smothers and Paul Eaves.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Edgin, Paul Wallace and Rex Thomason.
