Mrs. Mildred Holland, 93, of Troy died 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Tommy Roper will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Zach Roper, Steve Alexander, David Riley, Frank Hinson, Curtis Hoffman and James Beasley.

Mrs. Holland was born February 7, 1919, in Obion County, daughter of the late Roe and Nella Bird (Wyatt) Thomas. She married Thurman "Chub" Holland on December 28, 1942. He died December 14, 2000. She had been employed at Continental Can in Melvindale, Michigan and the Hawthorne Center in Plymouth, Michigan. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Michigan and Star of Bethlehem Assembly of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Owens of Troy; five grandchildren, Nathan Owens and Brian Owens both of Troy, Michael Owens and his wife Mandy Owens of East Prairie, Missouri, Derrick Holland of Jacksonville, Florida and Lisa Case of Vancouver, Washington; and nine great grandchildren, Makayla Owens of East Prairie, Missouri, Slade Owens of Milan, Tyler Holland and Justin Holland both of Alabama, and Eric Lowe, Dylan Totten, Ethan Totten, Aaron Totten and Trystan Case all of Vancouver, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Holland; her sister, Edith Warren; and her son-in-law, Milton Owens.
