Mrs. Mildred Katherine Childress, 92, of Troy passed away 7:02 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2019, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Center in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Kylan Mann, Teresa Collard and Lisa LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Jason Easley, Scottie Easley, Robbie Beeler, John Board, Randy Barnes, Buskin Barnes and Chris Beeler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Petty and Joseph Montgomery.

Mrs. Childress was born September 18, 1926, in Halls, Tn., daughter of the late Mardis and Ina (Sanders) Ervwin. She married Elvie Arlene Childress July 20, 1945. He passed away December 24, 2012. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Shuler of Nashville, Betty Watts of Union City, Jeanette (Wayne) Sanford of Union City and Shelby (Robert) Hurley of Martin; one son, Jimmy Childress of Hornbeak; two sisters; one brother; thirteen grandchildren, Scott Easley, Jason Easley, Chris Beeler, Robbie Beeler, Ronnie Petty, Laurie Flora, Kathy Burnside, John Board, Randy Barnes, Jessica Jowers, Candice Davis, Jeremy Childress, and Chase Childress; and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Geneva, Erma, and Rachel; five brothers, Limburg Erwin, Ara Neil Erwin, H.T. Erwin, Wally Erwin, and James L. Erwin; and two grandsons, Billy Gargus and Zach Jackson.
