Mildred Chessor's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Ruth Chessor, 64, of Hornbeak passed away 7:42 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the The Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at The Living Word Church in Hornbeak from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Thayer, Russell Douthit, Gary Swift, Marty Mitchum, Jason Madding and Alan Smith.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chessor was born March 20, 1953, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Linn Beasley Works, Jr. and Hazel Maie (Kelly) Works. She married Robert Dale Chessor October 18, 1969. He passed away August 5, 2013. She was a member of The Living Word Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mildred loved her family and friends very much and was always there for them.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie and Sue Ann Chessor of Hornbeak; one daughter, Marie and Danal Douthit of Union City; three grandchildren, Andrew Thayer, Damon Douthit and Robert Douthit all of Union City; one sister, Marty Workman of South Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Louis Chessor; one brother, Jesse Linn Works and one sister, Mary Hazel Works.
