Michael Lee "Mike" Stuart, 70, of Hornbeak passed away 5:37 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Gene Stafford will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m.until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Evans, Bradley Evans, Dustin Evans, Robert Evans, Aaron Baker, Billy Walley and Dalton Walley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Stuart's grandchildren.

Mike was born August 4, 1953, in Madisonville, Kentucky, son of the late Kethern Francis and Mary Helen (Curtis) Stuart. He had been employed as a sergeant at West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Fort Pillow and was a self employed carpenter. Mike had a advernturous nature and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. He was a Christian.

He is survived by one daughter, Summer Andis and husband Mark of Union City; two sons, Sam Stuart and wife Christy of Newbern and Jason Stuart and wife Stephanie of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; one sister, Kay Boswell and husband John of Madisonville, Kentucky; two brothers, Tony Stuart and wife Jenni of Madisonville, Kentucky and Ronnie Stuart of Clearwater, Florida; and nine grandchildren, Chloe Stuart, Sammy Stuart and Noah Stuart all of Newbern, Nolan Andis, Brodie Wisdom and Braylen Wisdom all of Union City, Ethan Stuart of Indianapolis, Indiana and Allison Davis and Harrison Davis both of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
