Johney Michael "Little Pig" Smith, 69, of Union City passed away 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry and Brother James Pope will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Rob Kleber, Robert Kleber, Kyle Kleber, Austin Alexander, Brendon King, Johnny Prather, Matt Chappell, Hunter Smith, Drake Hogg and Brad Baggett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike's former co workers at Goodyear.

Mike was born April 7, 1950, in Peoria, Illinois, son of Chester L. and Margie M. (Moore) Smith of Troy. He retired as a tire builder for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mike loved his family, helping people, fishing, hunting and Tennessee football.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mary "Mae" Snyder, Cathrine Roberson (Guy) and Patricia Hogg (Butch) all of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Thurman Snyder.
