Mike Piatt's Obituary
Michael Bruce "Mike" Piatt, 71, of Union City passed away 11:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016, at his home.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mike was born August 22, 1944, in Fairfield, Illinois, son of Glen Piatt of Bradenton, Florida and the late Freda Marie (Bruce) Piatt. He had been employed at the former Piatt & Son Oil Company, the former McAdoo Builders Company and Southern Concrete Company. Mike served as president of the Obion County Little League for 25 years and served as a coach for many years. He was instrumental in starting the pee wee basketball league at the Dixie gym. Mike had served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.
He is also survived by one daughter, Courtney Blackwell (Jeremy) of Union City; two sons, Chad Piatt (Elaine) and Clint Piatt (Camille) all of Martin; one sister, Julie "Punky" McCallie (Johnny) of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
