Melvin Killion 1937-2014
Mr. Melvin Harold "Tookie" Killion, 76, of the Fremont Community died 7:40 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services for Mr. Killion will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home just prior to service time.
Mr. Killion was born October 15, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Lyod and Tanzy (Hawkins) Killion. He was a truck driver for Rodgers Oil Company and Craddock and Roach Paving. He was a member of the David's Chapel Baptist Church near Hickman and was also a mechanic that worked on large equipment.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Nadine Killion of Union City; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and George Coleman of Union City and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
