March 14, 1941 – August 21, 2020
Mrs. MayBell Hensley, 79, of Rives passed away 7:05 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives. David Hensley and Paul Hensley will officiate.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hensley was born March 14, 1941, in Dyer County, daughter of the late William Clarence and Hattie Estelle (Hooper) Connell. She married Charles Delbert Hensley December 21, 1955. He preceded her in death August 31, 2018. MayBell was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Morris (Billy) and Angie Simbeck (Rick) all of Union City; three sons, Donnie Hensley (Bonnie) of Gadsden, Alabama, Ronnie Hensley (Stephanie) of Union City and Billy Hensley of Obion; ten grandchildren, Robert Hensley, Chuck Brady, Loretta Scott, Marsha Underwood, Shari Screen, David Hensley, Misty Clark, Curtis Hensley, B.J. Morris and Zach Hensley; several great grandchildren; her twin sister, Adell Etheridge of Ridgely; and one brother, Odell Connell of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Brady; two sons, Roger Hensley and Tony Hensley; and one sister, Estelle "Polly" Reagor.
