Mrs. Maxine Myers, 91, of Union City passed away 11:25 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Greg Bowers will officiate.  Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Myers was born February 21, 1928, in Obion County, daughter of the late Willie Bob and Eunice Myrtle (Jones) Tanner. She married Robert Myers December 12, 1942. He preceded her in death May 23, 2013. Maxine had been employed as manager of the former William's Fabrics and the owner and operator of the former Maxine's Fashions both in Union City. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Shanklin of Union City; one son-in-law, William Brewer of Sharon; four grandsons, Allan Brewer of Sharon, Tom Brewer (Sue) of Martin, Guy Shanklin of Foley, Alabama and Ryan Shanklin (Ashley) of Dyer; four great grandchildren, Matt Brewer (Katie) and Chad Brewer (Samantha) all of Martin, and Adam Pickard and Allie Shanklin both of Dyer; and two great great grandchildren, Owen Brewer and Katherine Brewer both of Martin.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann Brewer; one son-in-law, Bill Shanklin; one great granddaughter, Hope Brewer; and five brothers, Billy Jones Tanner, Buck Tanner, James Robert "Pete" Tanner, Willie Bob "June" Tanner, Jr. and O'Neil Tanner.
