Mrs. Lena Maxene Hunter, 66, of Union City passed away 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Maxene was born November 23, 1955, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Kenneth "Mack" and Angelena (Johnson) Sims. She married Edward Hunter November 15, 1975. He passed away May 14, 2021. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Angela Ham of Kenton; three brothers, Jimmy Sims (Karen) of Fulton, Kentucky, David Sims of Union City and Tim Sims of Union City; three grandchildren, Adyn Whitworth, Kasha Whitworth and Jazper Ham all of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Sims and Randy Sims; and one sister, Melinda Sims.
