Maurice (Nipp) McKinnis, 101, of Union City went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Magnolia Ridge Nursing & Rehab.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

Maurice was born March 27, 1925 in Hickman, Kentucky daughter of the late Edward Arie and Kitty Marie (Ferrell) Nipp. She married Roland McKinnis November 12, 1942. He preceded her in death February 2, 1995. Maurice spent many years as a cook at the former Dixie School and Lake Road Elementary. She attended Lake Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mimi True of the Clayton Community; two sons, Micky McKinnis of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and David McKinnis of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

She was also proceeded in death by her twin sister, Daurice Denton; two other sisters, Christine Swaney and Dorothy McCullough, three brothers, Arie Nipp, Charles Alton Nipp, and Ferrell Nipp; and her son-in-law, Dale True.
