Maudie Mae Moore, 66, of the Clayton community passed away 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.

Pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Jimmy Ward and Enoch Murphy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m.until the hour of services Saturday.

Maudie was born February 27, 1955, in Tiptonville, daughter of the late Chester Oscar and Earley Mai (Sanders) Ward. She married Albert Airon Moore June 25, 1970. He preceded her in death January 6, 2011. Maudie retired from Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in Tiptonville where she worked in food management.

She is survived by one son, Mike Moore (Jamie) of the Clayton community; one stepdaughter, Karen Anderson of the Clayton community; one stepson, Albert Airon Moore, Jr. (Susan) of Parma, Missouri; three sisters, Judy Smith of Valparaiso, Indiana, Mable Jane Groeneveld (J.R.) of Union City and Willie Sue Murphy of Dyersburg; one brother, Jimmy Lou Ward (Jo Ann) of Dyersburg; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Shane Moore; one sister, Barbara Hardin; and one brother, Jessie Sanders.
