Mrs. Mary Lee (Howell) Renfro, 81, of Union City passed away 11:10 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at New Hope Bible Church near Union City. Brother Darrell Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery in Union City.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Bible Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Vic Smith, Bobby Smith, Steve Smith, Wayne Franklin, Jim Franklin and Jim Griffin.
Mrs. Renfro was born July 27, 1936, in Caruthersville, Missouri, daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Godfrey) Howell. She married Lewis Renfro in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Refro had been employed as a cafeteria worker in the Nashville Metro School System for 20 years and was a member of New Hope Bible Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen "Sue" and Roy Hayes of Nashville; five grandchildren and the spouse of one, Andrea and Charlie Brew, Rachael Garrison, Justin Steele, and Zachary Steele all of Nashville and Jeffery Renfro of North Carolina; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David Renfro; two daughters, Rhonda Garrison and Sharon Steele; two brothers, Bud Howell and Al Howell; and two sisters, Grace Nichols and Virginia Franklin.
