Mrs. Mary Betty Pate, 85, of Martin passed away 6:09 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at East Side Cemetery in Martin. Brother Kylan Mann will officiate.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund , 801 Harrison Road, Martin, Tennessee 38237.

Mary was born December 9, 1938, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Elmer and Mattie Bell (Harrison) Hopper.  She married Wendell Royce Pate May 3, 1958.  He survives.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.

She is also survived by one daughter, Patti Pate of Winchester; one son, Brent Pate (Pam) of Martin; three grandchildren, Brandon Pate (Mallory) of Martin, Magen Johnson (Josh) of Bon Aqua and Will Schnure (Karleigh) of Murfreesboro; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanette Davidson of Martin.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Derek Pate; and one sister, Barbara Sims.
