Mrs. Mary Maude Hailey, 93, of Union City passed away 3:36 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Matthew Nance will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services on Monday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mary was born November 5, 1929, in Ridgely, daughter of the late James Harold "Jim" Johnson. She married Paul Wayne Hailey in 1959. He passed away in 1981. She worked for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City as an x-ray technician. Mary loved the St. Louis Cardinals, collecting baby dolls and reading her bible. She was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jeff Hailey (Susan) of Troy; three grandchildren, Billy Johnson of Union City; Heather Waycaster of Dresden and Amanda Hailey of Union City; three great grandchildren; one brother, Bonnie Johnson of Union City; one sister, Nazalene Basham of Ridgely; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Mark Hailey and Hank Johnson; and several brothers and sisters.
