Marvin Burkeen 87, of Troy passed 12:15 p.m. away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital - Cane Creek in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Kevin Thomason will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Burkeen, Eric Burkeen, Andrew Burkeen, Brody Burkeen, Donald Burkeen and Jeff Hamm.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stevie Lane, Bobby Burkeen, Ricky Burkeen, Billy Burkeen, Carl Burkeen, Randy Burkeen, Keith Hepler and Joe Smith.

Marvin was born December 11, 1934, in Dyer County, son of the late James Taft and Kneely (Sexton) Burkeen. He married Maudie Faye (Johnson) Burkeen November 24, 1954. She preceded him in death May 8, 2019. Marvin had been employed in maintenance and security at Kohler in Union City for 30 years. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy, Tiptonville American Legion and had been a Mason.

He is survived by two grandson, Terry Lee "T.J." Burkeen, Jr. (Krystal) of Lafayette and Eric Burkeen of Troy; his daughter-in-law, Anna Burkeen of Troy; four great grandchildren, Andrew Blake Burkeen and Brody Gage Burkeen both of Troy and Lillian Grace Burkeen and Anabelle Marie Burkeen both of Lafayette; one sister, Effie Hamm (Elmer) of Dyersburg; and two brothers, Walter Burkeen (Alice) of Union City and Tom Burkeen of Dyersburg.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee Burkeen, Sr.; and one brother, Carl Burkeen.
