Mrs. Martha Jane (Overall) Grimes, 78, of Union City died 1:58 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Wesley Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jared Willcutt, Bobby Brown, John Grimes, Jamie Suiter, Troy O'Daniel and Frank Maceri.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Grady, Bill Garrett, Glen Cook, Terry Grimes, Jerry Hankins and Marty Hankins.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Grimes was born March 25, 1936, in Rutherford, daughter of the late James Milburn and Alva Mae (Gatlin) Overall. She married James Edward Grimes October 11, 1953. He died May 24, 2010. Mrs. Grimes was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ. She was a retired employee of the former Salant & Salant and was a retired semi truck driver.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Julia Kay Ashley and Lisa Carol and Scott Sellers all of Union City; six grandchildren, Beth Vaughn of Dukedom, Jessica Ashley, Bradley Sellers and Danielle Willcutt all of Union City, Cory Sellers of Kenton and Toni Roberts of Clarksville; eight great grandchildren, Lane Patton of Dayton, Raven Patton of Dukedom, Briar Maze, Lela Tittle, Kylie Willcutt and Kinley Willcutt all of Union City, and James Roberts and Aubry Roberts both of Clarksville; one brother, William Roy Overall of Dyer; and special family friend, Patsy Maceri of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Rae Dwyer; her son-in-law, Bryan Ashley; and her brother, Jimmy Overall.
