Obituary

Mrs. Martha Ann "Mot" Goff, 69, of Union City died 10:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.

Mrs. Goff was born October 7, 1941, in Colbert County, Alabama, daughter of the late William Lawson and Joyce Ceo (Triplett) Baggett. She married Bobby Goff on November 10, 1986. He survives. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Willingham of Union City and Nancy Darnall of Newbern; three brothers, Laymon Baggett and Donald Baggett both of Union City, and Eddie "Roy" Baggett of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Sadie Williams, Lucille Willingham and Mary Goff; and four brothers, Billy Baggett, Mc Kinley Baggett, Harold Gene Baggett and Loren Gary Baggett.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City third floor staff, Baptist Memorial Hospice, Dr. John Clendenin and Dr. Margaret Gore and staff for their dedicated care during Mot's illness.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Chris Baggett, Tony Darnall, Chucky Darnall, Ricky Howard, Stephen Darnall and Eric Baggett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Long, Tommy Willingham, Paul Willingham, Lee Willingham, Timmy Willingham and Wesley Willingham.
