Marion Louise (Mitchum) Moffitt, 81, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 9:45 a.m. Sunday,
August 9, 2015, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Sassafras Ridge Baptist Church . Brother Robert Johnson and Brother Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Sassafras Ridge Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Pallbearers will be Charles "Chucky" Moffitt, Johnny Moffitt, Dyllan Miller, Scott Glasscock, Aaron Vandalen and Steve Smith.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marion was born September 22, 1933, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Pastor W.M. "Bill" and Ruth Lee (McCreery) Mitchum. She had been employed as a registered nurse with Stones River Center in Murfreesboro and was a member of Sassafras Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Bussard Smith and Steve Smith of Cave City, Kentucky and Suzanne and Aaron Vandalen of Tampa, Florida; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Moffitt of Hickman, Kentucky, David and Aimee Moffitt of Union City and Joseph "Joey" Moffitt of Mt, Juliet; four sisters, Angie Mitchum, Betty Reeves and Kitty Mitchum all of Hickman, Kentucky and Martha Loschiavo of Memphis; three brothers, John Mithcum of Charleston, South Carolina, Lawrence Mitchum of Detroit, Michigan and Morris Mitchum of Fulton, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
