Mrs. Marion Moore Jones, 99, of Union City passed away 5:10 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at AHC of Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Wade Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery near Obion.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hometown Walk of Hope, 902 Perkins Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261, Exchange Street Church of Christ, 420 Exchange Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261 or the charity of the donor's choice.
Marion was born January 30, 1922, in Obion, daughter of the late Wade Moore and Madge (Moultrie) Moore. She married Judge T.W. Jones, Jr. September 5, 1941. He preceded her in death October 15, 1993. Marion volunteered as a pink lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting, needlepoint, cross stich and gardening. She was always very involved with church and school activities for her children and others. Helping to make farm life successful was also very important to her. Marion was a member of Obion Church of Christ for many years and later Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City.
She is survived by one son, Richard (Jeanie) Jones of Old Hickory; one daughter, Jenny Joy Fitch of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Wade (Jayme) Jones of Nashville, Bart (Nicole) Jones of Brentwood, Brett (Jessica) Jones of Hendersonville, Dawn (Eric) Brown of Birmingham, Alabama; Brad (Katie) Fitch of Plano, Texas, Alicia Jones of San Francisco, California, Aimee (Will) Carroll of Chesapeake, Virginia and Ryan (Cassie) Nash of Canton, New York; and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Tom Jones and Boyd Jones.
