Marie Vicary, 93, of the Gardner community passed away 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare Martin Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Gardner Church of Christ near Martin. Larry Powers and Sidney White will officiate. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at Gardner Church of Christ from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Mike Fagan, Jeff Fagan, Travis Vicary, Terry Whiting, Garrett Austin and Kyle Waterston.

Marie was born March 11, 1930, in Obion County, daughter of the late Bruce and Nora (Sanders) Ferguson. She married Walter L. Vicary July 3, 1954. He preceded her in death June 11, 2011. Marie had been employed at the former Baybee Shoe Factory in Dresden and was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Gardner Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jack Waggoner of the Gardner community; her daughter-in-law, Becky Vicary of the Gardner community; one sister, Maudie Fagan of the Gardner community; four grandchildren, Cody Waggner and Travis Vicary and wife Erin all of the Gardner community; Amanda Waterston and husband Kyle of Eagleville and Terry Whiting of Newbern; five great grandchildren, Ezra Vicary, Luke Vicary and Lane Vicary all of the Gardner communikty and Emmie Waterston and Wade Waterston of Eagleville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Tracy Vicary; her step grandson, Justin Bartig; two sisters; and two brothers.
