Marie Scarborough, 83, of Troy passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her home.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Marie was born June 30, 1941, in Golden Pond, Kentucky, daughter of the late Billy and Delilah (Dunn) Pogue. She met and married the love of her life Phillip Scarborough on August 21, 1975. He preceded her in death October 27, 2014. Marie was the former owner & operator of Happy Little House Day Care in Union City which was named so that the children would always know they had a happy place to go. She also worked as a real estate and property manager, a bail bondsman, CBK in Union City and Penguin in Newbern.

She is survived by four children, Steve Scarborough of Antioch, Julie (Billy) Griffin, Katie (Doug) Herane  and Thomas (Kristi) Scarborough all of Troy; her grandchildren, David Griffin, Mandy Correa, Abbey McWherter, Ashley Maddox, Allison McCall Lee, Cameron Scarborough and Daphne Becton; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters, Cathy Holla of White House, Tennessee and Peggy Graham of Benton, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Roberson Griffin.
