Mrs. Maria Vissering, 47, of Rives died 8:20 p.m. Sunday August 7, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Julian Huey will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery .

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Vissering, Gary Gumm, Vince Wright, Dewey Wright, Dan Baggett and Lester Burnes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Merle Gumm and Bill Gumm.

Maria was born June 1, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Vince Wright and the late Grace (Campbell) McManis. She married Gene Vissering on December 28, 2008. He survives. She had been employed at the former Dana Corporation in Fulton, Kentucky and was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is also survived by her daughter, Jennifer Danner of Union City; her granddaughter, Lexi Danner of Union City; her step-son, Bobby Vissering of Union City; five sisters, Mary Burnes of Rives, Debbie Botts and Bridget Faught both of Union City; Patty Prater of Middletown, Ohio and Vivian Huey of Newbern; and five brothers, Merle Gumm of Corbin, Kentucky, Bill Gumm of Midland, Ohio and Gary Gumm, Dewey Wright and Vince Wright all of Union City.
