Mrs. Margie M. Smith, 93, of Troy passed away 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry and Brother James Pope will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Pallbearers will be Drake Hogg, Matthew Roberson, Nathan Sweatt, Brad Baggett, Billy Roberson and Russell Blassingame.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Mrs. Smith was born April 1, 1927, in Dyersburg, daughter of the late Ewell and Cora Lee (Espey) Moore. She married Chester Smith June 1, 1947. He survives. Margie retired from Kohler in 2009 after more than 30 years of service. She attended Greater Vision Church in Troy.
She is also survived by three daughters, Mary "Mae" Snyder, Catherine Roberson (Guy) and Patricia Hogg (Butch) all of Troy; nine grandchildren, Michelle Hogg (Brad Baggett) and Matthew Roberson all of Troy, Brittney Morris (Cody) of Dyersburg, Kayla Bishop of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Laina Herod (Matthew) of White House, Hope Sweatt (Gary) of Martin, Rob Kleber (Vanessa) of Momence, Illinois, Sandra Smith of Rives and Stacey Alexander (Jason) of Benton, Kentucky; twenty great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Smith; her son-in-law, Thurman Snyder; two sisters, Bertha Mae Dexter and Jennie Neal; and two brothers, Robert Moore and Albert Noel Moore.
