Marcella Tomlinson, 80, of Union City passed away 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at AHC Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Steve Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Elliott Tomlinson, Lucas Gilman, Gabriel Gilman, Shaun Gilman, James Cheney and Roy Stewart.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Marcella was born August 8, 1942, in Worthville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elliott Owen and Leo Mae (Chilton) Hunt. She married David Wallace Tomlinson July 16, 1961. He preceded her in death February 19, 2019. Marcella had been employed at the Carollton, Kentucky Hospital, as a cook at Union City Middle School and retired from the deli at Kroger in Union City. She was a charter member of Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City. Marcella had worked with the youth at Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Danita and Shaun Gilman of Munford; her son and daughter-in-law, David Owen and LaDonna Tomlinson of Union City; one sister, Reba Brock of Frankfort, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Scott Gilman of Wales, United Kingdom, Kandace Cheney and husband James and Elliott Tomlinson and wife Brooke all of Union City and Lucas Bryce Wallace Gilman, Gabriel Shaun Marcellas Gilman and Isabella Irene Mae Gilman all of Munford; and one great grandson, Konnor Lee Cheney of Union City.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Darwin Lee Tomlinson; and two sisters, Charlotte Hunt and Nina Stewart.
