Mamie Long Smith, 78, of Union City finished her earthly journey Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mason Lee and Brother Jessie Cavness will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will Hunter Burton, Blake Stevens, Jamie Whybrew, Mark Williams, Jessie W. Cavness and Chevy Hutchison.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Memorials may take the form of donations to House of Prayer Pentecostal Church, 201 Carr Street, Fulton, Kentucky 42041.

Mamie was born April 27, 1943, in Elbridge, daughter of the late Woodrow and Hazel (Sadler) Long. She married Thelbert Smith March 4, 1982. He survives. Mamie had been employed at Dixie Gun Works and was a member of House of Prayer Pentecostal Church in Fulton.

She is also survived by two daughters, Penny Burton of South Fulton and Elaine Smith of Union City; one son, Don Wilson (Karin) of Calico Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Andrew Wilson of Seattle, Washington, Courtney Whybrew (Jamie) of Union City, Ashleigh Stevens (Blake) of Knoxville and Hunter Burton of Martin; three great grandchildren, Jace Whybrew, Paizlee Whybrew and Monroe Whybrew all of Union City; four sisters, Marzelle Parish (Jamie) of the Shawtown community, Shirley Coursey (Dale) of Troy, Tamara Cavness (Jessie) of Ashland City and Darla Bondurant (Larry) of Union City; one brother, Roy Long (Estelle) of the McConnell community; and one sister-in-law, Sandra Long of Manchester.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Wayne Long.
