Mrs. Ruby Mai (Laws) Cloar, 84, of Union City passed away 10:57 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at The Waters of Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mike Ozment and Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Zach Cloar, Brad Cloar, Scott Laws, Sandy Aleshire and Caleb Joost.
Mai was born February 17, 1934, in Hickman County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Samuel Alfred and Ruby Elizabeth (Hales) Laws. She married Van Doran "Billy" Cloar October 26, 1957. He preceded her in death July 1, 1997. Mai was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City, the former Pleasant Hill FCE Club and enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Sue and Pat Conley of Gilbert, Arizona; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy Lynn Cloar of Union City and Van Allen and Keleigh Cloar of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren and the spouse of one, Zach and Hailey Cloar of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brad Cloar of Union City, James Conley and Chris Conley both of Gilbert, Arizona and Piper Cloar and Owen Cloar both of Birmingham, Alabama; one great granddaughter, Addyson Cloar of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and one sister, Susie French of Clinton, Kentucky.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Laws.
