Mrs. Mable Irene McDaniel, 84, of Union City and formerly of Cookeville passed away 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Magnolia Ridge Care and Rehabilitation.

Graveside services will be held in Cookeville at a later date.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Mable was born July 4, 1941, in Anderson, Indiana daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Needler) Wihebrink. She married Dewey Clinton McDaniel August 24, 1957. He passed away November 5, 2020. She was a Christian and member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Tami James of Union City and Tynisha (David) Hopwood of Foley, Alabama; two grandchildren, Travis Graham of Charlotte and McKinzie (Briar) Impastato of Hendersonville; her siblings, Ed Fox of Pendleton, Indiana, Mary Segner of Anderson, Indiana, Bill (Judy) Wihebrink of Pendleton, Indiana, Martha (Larry) Broshar of Anderson, Indiana and Max (Linda) Wihebrink of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Barry James; and one brother, Don Wihebrink.
