Lynn Somerfield "Lynne" Goree, 57, of Troy passed away 9:55 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at her home.

Memorial services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Lynn was born December 30, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late George Francis and Jacqueline Gladys (Turner) Somerfield. She married Kevin Goree September 11, 1984. He survives. Lynn had been employed as a cashier at Lowe's in Union City. She volunteered with The Bridge in Union City, Outside In in Troy and Ladies Living Free in Paducah, Kentucky. Lynn was a member of Crosswind Church.

She is also survived by three sons, Kevin Christoper Goree (Brooke) and Brian Goree all of Union City and Mitchell Goree (Ashley) of Samburg; one daughter, Jada Goree (Paul Baillargeon) of Athens, Alabama; one sister, Georgia Phipps of Union City; two brothers, Jim Somerfield (Melissa) of Hickman, Kentucky and John Somerfield (Ginger) of South Fulton; and eight grandchildren, Logan Goree and Liam Goree both of Union City, Chelsea Goree Haleigh Goree and Paxton Goree all of Samburg and Cierra Eisenhardt, Kendra Pate and Dustin Ellis all of Athens, Alabama.
