Obituary

Mr. Charles Lyndell Caldwell, 89, of Paris passed away 8:25 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.  Mr. Caldwell was a former resident of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Corey Cain and Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery near Union City.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be Gary Caldwell, Cassidy Caldwell, Caylex Caldwell, Allen Marcum, Dustin Buck, Brian Burkett, Brad Burkett and Greg Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Dunn, Lanny Callicott, James Harold "Coddie" Caldwell and Bud Burkett.

Mr. Caldwell was born July 6, 1929, in Obion County, son of the late Houston and Martha (Brown) Caldwell. He married Nancy (Hinton) Caldwell July 12, 1953. She survives. Lyndell retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 25 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he flew on B 29s. Lyndell was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church in Paris. He was a former member of Second Baptist Church in Union City where he had served as a deacon and was in the choir.

He is also survived by one daughter, Laura Beth Marcum (Allen) of Springville; one son, Gary Caldwell of Reedville, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cassidy Caldwell (Corrina) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Casey Buck (Dustin) of Nashville and Hailey Maddox of Springville; and one great grandson, Caylex Caldwell of Bossier City, Louisiana.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Greg Caldwell and one brother, Bobby Caldwell.
