Lulye Dorton's Obituary
Mrs. Lulye (Baker) Dorton, 92, of the Dixie community passed away 8:35 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Bobby Stewart and Bill Denman will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hill, Larry Thompson, Dale Alexander, Sam Baker, O'Neil Baker and Ewell Baker.
Mrs. Dorton was born January 26, 1926, in Hickman County, Tennessee, daughter of the late John and Bertie (Nichols) Baker. She married Herbert Dorton January 16, 1947. He passed away September 5, 2004. Mrs. Dorton was a homemaker and a member of Fremont Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Ethyline Dorton of the Dixie community; one son and daughter-in-law, Nelson and Jane Dorton of the Dixie community; two grandchildren, Chris Dorton of the Dixie community and Ashley Dorton of Memphis; and one sister, Sarah Nash of Ft. Cooper, Tennessee.
She was also preceded in death by one sister; and five brothers.
