Mr. Elmer Wilford "Luke" Gibson, 72, of Union City passed away 1:01 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at his residence.
There will be no services at this time.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Luke was born October 3, 1944, in Charleston, Missouri, son of the late James Luther and Opal Mae (White) Gibson. He married Jonell (McElroy) Gibson July 3, 1964. She survives. He worked for Woodland Lime and Fertilizer Company for 30 years.
He is also survived by one daughter, Leticia Anne Young of Union City; one granddaughter, Ashley Renee Young of Union City; one grandson, James Zackary Young of Union City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Peggy Gibson of Paris, Tn. and Ronnie and Lisa Gibson of Reno, Nevada; one sister-in-law, Judy Gibson of Tuscola, Ill. and one brother-in-law, Allen Hensley of Humbolt.
He is also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law, James and Pat Gibson and Anthony Gibson; and two sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Donald Savage and Ruth Hensley.
