Virgie Lou "Lucille" Collins, 72, of Hickman, Kentucky passed away 2:55 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Pentecostal Church in Union City. Brother Billy Uzzle will officiate.

Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lucille was born October 3, 1944, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Willie Elijah and Eva Elizabeth (Burgess) Bates. She was the widow of Carvell Collins. Lucille was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church in Union City. She loved Jesus and enjoyed reading her bible.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Collins of Clinton, Kentucky; one son, James Collins of Mayfield, Kentucky; four brothers, Gilliam Bates of Dyersburg, Wesley Bates and wife Cathy of Houston, Texas, Ricky Bates of Fulton, Kentucky and Ira Bates of Union City.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Willie Lloyd Bates.
