Obituary

Mrs. Willie Louise "Grandma" Webb, 106, of the Clayton community passed away 1:45 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Tony Darnall, Steven Darnall, Wade Turner, Stanley Turner, John David Webb and Milton Webb.


Mrs. Webb was born October 22, 1912, in Trimble, daughter of the late William Erby and Vercie Bell (Cribbs) Nevil. She married W.T. Webb December 12, 1928. He preceded her in death December 8, 1978. Mrs. Webb was a homemaker and attended Lake Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Vercie Lee Darnall Haltom and Wilma Elizabeth Turner both of the Clayton community; one half brother and his wife, Erby Elmer and Helen Nevil of Dresden; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 29 great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandson.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Billie JR Webb and Lehman Thomas Webb; one great great granddaughter; her step mother, Frances S. Bridges Nevil; six sisters, Bonnie Bell Baker, Letha Elizabeth De Vasier, Pauline Evermae Edwards, Mildred Ezzie McDaniel, Dora Worn Wordrip and Bessie Genall Hubbard; four brothers, Owen Herod Nevil, Erby Preston Nevil, Melvin Eulis Nevil and Wilburn Nevil; three half sisters, Nova Mae Crocker Pinnion, Alma Frances Nevil and Mary Frances Phillips Hubbard; one half brother, Thomas Henry Nevil; two step sisters, Aline Hopper Baker and Elsie Leona Martin Riggins.
