January 19, 1931 – December 15, 2022
Mrs. Lois S. Lewis, 91, of Union City passed away 11:50 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at her home.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stan Kenton, Mike Rauchle, Lanny Callicott, Bill Flood, Frank Johnson, Mike Murphey, David Stovall, Mark Ward, William "Red" Reese and Larry Edmundson.
Mrs. Lewis was born January 19, 1931, in Mayfield, Kentucky, daughter of the late Emmett Stovall and Annie (Drennan) Stovall. On December 25, 1949, she married Robert L. Lewis. He preceded her in death January 31, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth (George) Murphey; and two brothers, Jerry (Marrieta) Stovall and George (Norma) Stovall.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son, Bob Lewis and wife Mary Angela; granddaughter, Elizabeth Naramore and husband Peter Naramore; grandson, Benjamin Lewis; great-granddaughter, Loralei Lane Naramore and great-grandson, Auden Naramore all of West Chester, Ohio.
Lois worked as a teller and officer at Old & Third National Bank and Commercial Bank for 28 years. She served in the nursery, kitchen, and flower ministries of First Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. At the time of her death she was a member of Community Bible Church in Union City. In retirement, she served as a Pink Lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
She was strong, generous, tender hearted, and had great integrity. Lois had many friends and acquaintances and frequently reached out to stay in touch. She always showed an interest in others and making new connections. Lois liked playing cards and games; especially the conversation that accompanied it. She was fond of hosting others at her home. She and Robert enjoyed traveling and were able to take many trips with their family and friends.
