Leoda Kemp, 84, of Water Valley, Kentucky passed away 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, September 29,2020, at her home. She was a former resident of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rodney Gregg will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Cody Adams, Matthew Adams, David Adams, Michael Ashley, Skyler Slaughter and Toppie Sims.

Mrs. Kemp was born February 28, 1936, in Union City, daughter of the late Nollie and Pauline (Nash) Burress. She married James Earl Kemp January 11, 1971. He preceded her in death December 20, 2004. Leoda was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Adams (John) of Water Valley, Kentucky and Rose Reibling of Obion; three sons, Randy Kemp (Lana) of Troy, James Kemp, Jr. (Jeanette) of Lenoir City and Allen Oliver (Delsey) of Ridgely; two sisters, Juanita Stone (Chuck) and Betty Maggard (Tommy) all of Union City; two brothers, Finis Burress (Judy) of Union City and Nollie Burress of Martin; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
