Mrs. Lema Foster, 99, of Union City passed away 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Diversicare of Martin.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Foster was born February 18, 1923, in Obion County, daughter of the late Si and Jody (Wall) Bell. She married James "Tuffy" Foster March 18, 1939. He preceded her in death April 18, 1978. Lema had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Brown Shoe Company and was of the Church of Christ faith.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer McDaniel (Chad) of Martin, Candy Pfeiffer of Brighton, Jeff Foster (Theresa) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Gary Foster (Rachel) of Temescal Valley, California and Diane Foster of Union City; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and 1 step great grandson.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Council; and one son, Billy Joe Foster.
