Lee Simmons
Lee "Bluehorse" Trevor Simmons, 46, of Jackson passed away 3:40 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was a former resident of Obion County.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother J.R. Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Hornbeak City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Troy Forrest, Jeremiah Johnson, John Wright, Lee Baggett, Blake Forrest and Forrest His Bluehorse.
Lee was born November 5, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, son of the late Leo Conrad His Bluehorse and Myrna (Whitehawk) His Bluehorse. He married Cindy Ray (Webb) Simmons in 1991. She died October 10, 2012. Lee was a construction worker and was a member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Indian Tribe out of Rosebud, South Dakota.
He is survived by one daughter and fiancé; Sabrina (John Wright) Simmons of Union City; one grandson, Phoenix Simmons of Union City; one grandchild to be, Baby Wright; two sisters, Michelle Golightly of Wingo, Kentucky and Jan Thornton of Union City; two brothers, Forrest His Bluehorse of Rapid City, South Dakota and Troy Forrest of Troy; his aunt, Ilene Hutchison of Hornbeak and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his adopted parents, Raymond and Frances Simmons; one sister, Connie Bluehorse and one brother, Leo "Guy" Forrest.
