Mr. L.E. Owens, 89, of Troy passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jim Boaz will officiate. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery near Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Bill Owens, John McCormick, John Boaz, Sam Boaz, Chad Boaz and Greg Boaz.

Mr. Owens was born May 12, 1930, in Gibson County, son of the late John Owens and the late Eva Mae (Eddings) Owens Wilson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was former co owner with Glenn Rudd of Troy Motors.

He is survived by his former wife, Vi Owens of Troy; one daughter, Maria McCormick (John) of Herrin, Illinois; one son, Bill Owens of Union City; one step daughter, Gwen Arndt of Port St. Lucie, Florida; three grandchildren, Lindsay Teal (Josiah) and Connor Sanders all of Herrin, Illinois and Mikaela Kluver of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by four sons, Larry Owens, John Owens, Michael Owens and Danny Owens; two sisters, Frances Eaves and Flossie Boaz; and three brothers, Ira Rudd, Robert Rudd and J.B. Owens.
