Mr. L.D. Faulkner, 57, of Rives passed away 8:40 a.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. B.J. Cohn and Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Harper, Steve Harper, L.D. Harper, Rick Carlson, Mark Stephenson and Rocky Grenell.

L.D. was born September 10, 1958, in Lake County, son of the late L.D. and Helen Marie (Prater) Faulkner. He married Diane (Howard) Faulkner May 4, 1979. She died September 2, 2014. L.D. had been employed as a butcher for E.W. James & Sons in Union City for twelve years and was an avid hunter.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Matt Payne of Rives; one son and daughter-in-law, Tra and Lauren Faulkner of Nashville; special family friend, Josh Breeden of Union City; four grandchildren, Britney Payne, Autumn Payne and Hagan Payne all of Rives and Olivia Faulkner of Nashville; four sisters, Betty Leonard of the Blue Bank community, Freda Sturgis of Jackson, and Martha Rice and Catherine Mayhall both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded one sister, Justa Johnson; and one brother, Bobby Faulkner.
