Lavada Sue Rudd, 84, of the Shawtown community passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home.

She was born July 9, 1941, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Otis and Imogene (Killebrew) Price. Lavada had been employed as a certified nursing assistant in area nursing homes. She married Eddie Rudd March 25, 1968. He preceded her in death December 25, 2005.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Brian Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Steven Blaylock, Jacob Hughes, Eli Duncan, Michael Whitehead, Jimmy Sharp and Timbo Smith.

Lavada is survived by one son, David Sharp (Jennifer) of Union City; one daughter, Tammy Whitehead (Paul) of the Shawtown community; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamala Sharp; two sons, Tommy Sharp and Dewayne Sharp; and one brother, Howard "Sonny" Price.
