Mr. Larry B. Owsley, 76, of the Polk Station community passed away 10:56 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019, in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. David Kendall will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday.

Pallbearers will be Tim Childers, Wayne Luebbert, Paul Hasselbrink, Gray Hooks, Sam Kendall and Joe Noles.

Larry was born August 15, 1942, in Dyersburg, son of the late Jessie B. and Marjorie Ann (Rumley) Owsley. He married Sandra (Harper) Owsley October 23, 1964. She survives. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and was a U.S. Army veteran. Larry was also a member of the Rives Church of Christ.

He is also survived by one daughter, Lee Ann Childers (Tim) of Jacks Creek, Tennessee; one son, Brian Owsley (Rhiannon) of Obion; three grandchildren, Sadie Childers and Taylor Childers both of Jacks Creek, and Ella Owsley of Obion, and one sister, Peggy Grady (Jerry) of Possom Trot Community.

He was also preceded by one brother, Barry Owsley.
