Obituary

Mr. Larry Paul Oseman, 76, of Union City passed away 9:54 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Charles Southerland and Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Swinford, Roger Harris, Steve Oseman, Gary Oseman, Johnny Tate, Ed Griffin, Steve Walker, Farris Duncan and Kenneth Kemp.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

Larry was born November 9, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late Opal Paul and Helen (Green) Oseman. He married Sue Ellen (Cooper) Oseman October 5, 1963. She survives. Larry had been employed as a farmer and brick layer prior to being employed in the maintenance department for the Union City School System where he retired after 22 years of service. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Union City and was a member of the Wesley McClure Sunday School Class.

He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Penny Oseman of Woodland Mills; one granddaughter, Autumn Oseman of Woodland Mills; one sister, Dianne Oseman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lyons of Obion and Billy Cooper of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lyons; and one brother, Jerry Oseman.
