October 25, 1934 – September 6, 2024
Larry D. Isbell, 89, of the Midway community near Union City passed away 3:32 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at South Breeze Senior Living in Memphis.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stanley Chapel Cemetery near Union City. Guy Walker Gray will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
Larry was born October 25, 1934, in Obion County, son of the late Ralph D. and Annie V. (Phillips) Isbell. He married Elizabeth (Ford) Isbell January 10, 1952. She preceded him in death April 28, 2017. Larry had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Company and retired as a self employed meat salesman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Larry was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Marie Isbell of Memphis; three grandchildren, Jessica Isbell Sanders and husband John of Memphis, Katherine Isbell and husband Evan Wasserman of Sacramento, California and Michael Isbell of Memphis; and four great grandchildren, Max Sanders, Sophie Sanders and Henry Sanders all of Memphis and Theo Wasserman of Sacramento, California.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jeff Isbell and Randy Isbell; one sister, Shirley Isbell; and one brother, Phillip Isbell.
