Kimberly Dawn Holmes, 48, of Rives, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Kimberly was born on October 15, 1977, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Randy Joe Holmes and Alita Georgia (Rainey) Pickering of Crewe, Virginia.

She is survived by her mother, Alita Pickering; her three children, Randy Varner, Jason Varner, and Sarah Varner; her sister, Erin Holmes of Amelia, Virginia; her nephew, Joseph Holmes of Gainesville, Texas; her nieces, Samantha Holmes of Gainesville, Texas, and Emma Anders of Amelia, Virginia; her companion, Tim Crittendon of Rives; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Randy Joe Holmes, and her brother, Steven Holmes.

Kimberly was of the Baptist faith.

Kimberly’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will cherish the time they had with her and the moments they shared.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.
